CLICK HERE TO ROCK N' ROLL
Thanks Steve!

11.15.2007

The forum was graciously hosted by a friend whose ISP recently raised his rates — so we had to shut 'er down. I'm hoping to get a new site designed and up for the new record, and add a new, more streamlined php board/forum. soon.

17 of 18 songs are "mostly" mixed — there are still a few more tweaks here and there before we'll send 'er off to be mastered. we've made a lot of progress the past couple of weeks.

— +spencer+

7.06.2007

we're finally ready to start mixing the record. we've got most of next week blocked out in the studio for mixing, and we're going to try and use most of july for more mixing. :)

I'd just like to take a second to personally (as personal as you can be on the interweb) thank each and every one of you who came out to our anniversary show this weekend. You filled the venue to its capacity and beyond, making us feel all sorts of warm and fuzzy inside. We promise not to stay away from the stage for so long next time. And with that, I'm totally spent...

— steve

4.12.2005

Happy Birfday Spencer.

3.23.2005

Hey you. Yeah you. Check out the shows page. Come rock.

3.05.2005

Here's the deal. We've been getting seven hundred million thousand e-mails and myspace messages lately about when we're going to play a show again. We took the holidays off to write more material for the new record and now it's time to road test 'em. We've booked a very special date in april at a very special club. I'll be wearing a very special shirt and bobby will be singing very special notes. Spencer and Andy will both focus on being special in their very own special little ways. So, stay tuned for a very special show. We'll also be releasing a limited edition special CD (available at said show only). What could be the theme of said show and why would it be so special? Think Anniversary. How many years will we be celebrating as a band? Only time will tell. Dun dun dun...

I just wanted to give a quick "thanks" to everyone that sends us fan mail/email. I get a big ol' smile on my face when I read your kind words and compliments. It really makes a difference — keep 'em coming. We try and respond to as many as we can. Also, if you're not aware, go here and help yourself to a few more downloads. And then join our forum and hook up with some of the HRS ol' schoolers.

Earlier this week we received a letter from the Academic Decathlon Team of Durver, West Virgina. Apparently our music has inspired them to put in more hours, study harder, dress better, and keep their eyes on the stars. They sent us this commemorative photo. Good luck Durver High Aca Deca!

Hello internet people. Watch me as I get my blog on.

LAST HRS SHOW IN SLC FOREVER!!!
I kid, I kid...but seriously forks - this show on Saturday at the LoFi Cafe will be our last around here for quite some time. Things are progressing with the new record thus we need to dedicate the next few months to writing and demo'ing. The plan is to write a hundred million songs and let you help us select the best ones for the record. Currently, we have ninety-three million songs done. And boy are my arms tired.

THE HRS MUSIC SWAP PROGRAM
That’s right, the holidays are upon us once again. And in the spirit of said holiday we’re putting together a little program that will allow us all to share some high-voltage rock. Here’s the deal. Basically, make a CD with five of your favorite songs (include the names of the artists and songs somewhere on the CD) and send it to us. In return, we’ll send you a CD with twelve of our favorite songs (three favs per band member). It’ll be a neat little way for us all to bond intimately, and most importantly, legally. And remember; make sure to include your return address so we know where to send the jams.

HRS CD SWAP
C/O Steve Babcock
159 W. 300 S., suite 200
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

NEW HRS MERCH
We just got a new batch of merchandise in and available for your online purchase. Order quickly to ensure you get your desired size, cause we suck at keeping shirts in stock. Also, remember the holidays are right around the corner and nothing warms the cockles of the heart more than a slick new HRS shirt. Speaking of warming said cockles, look out for the new HRS track jackets. You don’t even have to run very fast to wear one. In fact, you could probably just walk and be completely fine. Perhaps even sit.

Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity and well-being of our country. And this year on Labor Day, HRS is giving back to those who have worked so hard to make our country the capitalistic behemoth it is today, by joining the likes of Guster for a good, old fashioned rock music show.

In the Venue
579 West 200 South
Salt Lake City

Door open at 7:00
HRS plays at 8:00
Tickets - $17
